Requirements of the role include:

  • You must be a current UK PCV licence holder
  • You must have a Driver Qualification Card or Certificate if you passed your PCV test on or after 10th September 2008
  • You must not have more than 3 penalty points as a PCV licence holder
  • You must not have any drink driving or drug offences within the last five years
  • You must be a safe and considerate driver
  • You must be customer focused at all times
  • You must be able communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
  • You will need to be prepared to work shifts
  • You should have a valid passport or birth certificate
  • You should have a minimum of 12 months visa documentation or longer before the date of expiry

PCV Driver training is also available. You must hold a full UK driving licence and have no penalty points or driving convictions.

Most services are operated under contract to London Buses and Surrey County Council.  We are looking for skilled bus mechanics, bodymen and electrcians to help maintain our fleet and ensure it operates to the highest possible standard.

  • Prompt Repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company Operators Licence guidelines
  • Ensure all repairs to company vehicles are carried out in a timely manner
  • Have an ability to organise daily workload
  • Have an ability to communicate effectively
  • Have an ability to work effectively within a team and provide support to colleagues
  • Have an ability to work flexibly
  • Have an ability to work with engineering colleagues in a collaborative manner
  • Have a ability to work to deadlines and be punctual
  • Have an ability to work to the highest Health & Safety standards

We have an exciting opportunity within the Rail Replacement Division of Abellio UK Bus to expand our business by planning and arranging road transport and support staff resourcing for Conference and Events.

Working closely with our Rail Replacement Operational Teams and our extensive UK wide Coach and Bus Suppliers to offer fully managed transport solutions to Conference and Event Planners.

Ideally, applicants should have experience and good contacts within the Conference and Events sector and be able to develop and win new business quickly. An understanding of transport requirements in this sector would be advantageous but not essential.

A competitive salary will be offered depending on experience and the role can be located in Glasgow, Manchester, York or London within our existing Abellio Rail Replacement offices.
