Abellio London's red buses go green
Abellio London has taken delivery of its first hybrid double deck bus. Thirteen of the Enviro 400 hybrid double deck buses will enter service on route 188, which runs between North Greenwich and Russell Square, in January 2012, replacing standard diesel buses on the route.
Abellio currently has a total of 43 hybrid double deck buses on order, representing an investment of over £14m. The buses are all built by Alexander Dennis and offer fuel and greenhouse gas reductions of 30%.
