On 28 November, Karen Morrison, Commercial Services Coordinator at Abellio London Bus, was announced as the Silver Winner in the highly regarded ‘Unsung Hero’ category at the UK Bus Awards, which took place in a glittering ceremony at the Troxy in London.
Abellio is proud and delighted that Karen’s commitment, diligence, and team spirit have been recognised at the highest level. Karen was nominated for the award by her manager, Jason Dyett, who felt she had consistently delivered excellence and provided positive solutions yet always found time to support and inspire team members to reach their full potential.
Karen joined Abellio in 2004, initially working with the HR team; she then moved to the Commercial Department in 2016 as a supervisor for rail replacement. In 2017, she was promoted to Commercial Services Coordinator and now manages a team of supervisors, drivers and customer assistants across Abellio’s busy rail replacement services.
Karen attended the ceremony in person to receive her award and was supported by the Abellio team.
