Abellio driver, Agostinho Ferreira, who has served customers in London for over 10 years, has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Accessibility Award’ in the 2023 TfL London Bus Awards.
Agostinho’s outstanding customer service sits at the heart of his success. He has been noted for his focus on customers who need additional support with visible and non-visible disabilities, making sure that the bus is lowered and that customers are given the time they need to sit safely. His friendly and caring approach ensures comfortable, accessible, and safe journeys for Abellio customers.
Accessibility is an important element of bus operations, Agostinho’s achievements throughout his career at Abellio have ensured that he is a highly regarded mentor. He gives his time to support and train new drivers, sharing his customer service skills and accessibility experience. His actions are supporting the next generation of drivers and helping to make the London bus network accessible to all.
